Laying in your undies and an oversized shirt surrounded by cold pillows and warm blankets. In the morning, middle of the day, or at the end of the night -it doesn’t even matter. No bra, no make up, no problems, no worries. With someone special laying right beside you -it can’t get any better than that.
“For what it’s worth: it’s never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again.”—Benjamin Button (via eazy-writer)
The Necessities - a reflection on working with kids.
All they need is a hug and a little bit of attention. More than what they’re receiving at home. What a shame! Why bring your child into this cruel world and not take care of them? Pardon me if you provide for your kids but some don’t. How could you bring them outside in the rain without a jacket but you’re clothed and standing with an umbrella? How can you tell your child they aren’t beautiful when they’re only 5 years old, but hey! she looks just like you! How can you be the root of her insecurities when this cruel world will someday consume her? Young kids have gentle hearts and clay brains. They’re very sensitive and they are adapting and learning from everything. Protect your child because one day they’ll protect you. You can’t shield them from the boogeyman forever but don’t let the boogeyman be you. Encourage them to enjoy their childhood because once it’s gone, it’s gone forever.
